Take on Athboy Karting Centre’s 850-metre outdoor circuit, a compact but technical track featuring 10 corners, a mix of faster sections and tighter turns, and plenty of opportunities to gain time through braking, positioning and clean overtakes. You’ll be racing Sodi SR5 karts powered by 9hp Honda engines, capable of speeds of up to 60 km/h. The Grand Prix gives you a full race-day experience, beginning with a 10-minute practice session, followed by two 5-lap heats, before the competition narrows down through a semi-final and Grand Final to decide who takes the trophy. With every race counting towards your chance of reaching the final, expect close battles, plenty of overtaking and a properly competitive afternoon of outdoor karting.

If you can't attend after paying, withdraw from the race page. More than 72 hours before the race starts, you get everything you paid back, in full. Less than 72 hours before the start there is no refund, because the circuit is already booked with your payment: you get your money back only if another driver takes a seat and pays for it. Terms

Minimum height 150cm as well as age 13. Up to 12 karts on the 850m outdoor track at once; groups larger than that are split into heats, up to 50 drivers. Phone booking only, no walk-ins, and the site asks groups to call before choosing a date. Closed-toe shoes; helmets, gloves and rainsuits provided. Open 10am until dusk. The site links a deposit payment page but publishes no deposit amount.
